About Big Builders

Young Engineers believes and reinforces education through play. Our unique Big Builders enrichment program introduces preschoolers to science concepts through hands-on, experiential learning. Students get a set designed specifically for the Big Builders program and construct 3D models using flexible parts.This enrichment program will expose our builders to engineering terminology. Students will become familiar with animal life cycles, natural sciences, basic engineering, technology, physics and concepts of space.

In addition, playing with their co-builders will enhance their interpersonal, socio-linguistic, and communication skills, as well as boost their self-esteem. We hope that establishing this connection between knowledge and fun at such a young age will set our participants up for a lifetime of learning and creating.
Big Builders Curriculum Overview

The Big Builders curriculum immerses young learners in a diverse educational journey. It delves into animal life cycles, from frogs to dogs, and the enchanting realm of marine creatures like shrimp and sea urchins. Students learn the values of teamwork from ants and explore the mechanics of various vehicles. They're introduced to polygons, the wonders of nature, including desert fruits and pollination, and foundational architectural concepts. The vastness of space is also covered, alongside insights into bird migrations, the art of camouflage, and sustainable wind energy. Concluding with an exploration of animal habitats and the dynamics of amusement park rides, the Big Builders curriculum promises a comprehensive and engaging learning experience about scientific and engineering concepts.
