This Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled across our programmes, camps, events, and subscription plans. It should be read together with our Terms of Service, Subscription Policy, and Privacy Policy.

1. General Principle

Fees paid to PowerbricksKidz are generally non-refundable, except where expressly stated in this Policy, in a program-specific agreement communicated at registration, or where required under Malaysian consumer protection law.

2. Trial Classes

  • Trial class fees (where applicable) are non-refundable once the trial class has taken place.
  • If a trial class is cancelled by us, we will offer an alternative trial date or a full refund of the trial fee, at our discretion.

3. One-Time Program, Camp & Event Fees

  • Registration fee: Non-refundable once paid.
  • Cancellation by parent/guardian: Refund eligibility depends on the notice period given before the program, camp, or event start date, and will be communicated at the time of registration. As a general guide:
    • Cancellations made well in advance of the start date may be eligible for a partial refund or credit, less the non-refundable registration fee.
    • Cancellations made close to or after the start date are generally non-refundable.
  • Cancellation by us: If we cancel a class, camp, or event (e.g., due to insufficient enrollment, instructor unavailability, or unforeseen circumstances), we will offer a make-up session, credit toward a future programme, or a full refund, at our discretion.
  • No-shows: No refund will be provided for missed sessions where the child does not attend a scheduled class, camp, or event without prior notice.

4. Class Subscription Plans (Auto-Charge)

Class subscription plans with recurring auto-charge billing are governed by our Subscription Policy, which takes precedence over this section. In summary:

  • Non-Refundable: No refunds will be provided for any subscription cancellations.
  • Registration fee & advance payment: The registration fee and a 1-month non-refundable advance payment (collected at the center on the day of the first class) are not refundable.
  • Advance Payment Usage: Advance payments are used exclusively to offset the final payment before discontinuation of classes and cannot be refunded in any other form.

5. Exceptional Circumstances

We may, at our sole discretion, consider a refund or credit outside the terms of this Policy in exceptional circumstances (e.g., serious illness or injury preventing continued participation, supported by documentation). Approval is not guaranteed and is assessed case by case.

6. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks

If you believe you have been incorrectly charged, please contact us directly at hello@youngengineers.com.my before initiating a bank or card chargeback, so we can investigate and resolve the issue promptly. Unauthorized chargebacks for legitimately rendered services may result in suspension of your child's enrollment.

7. How to Request a Refund

Refund requests (where eligible under this Policy) must be submitted in writing to hello@youngengineers.com.my, including:

  • Parent/guardian name and contact details
  • Child's name and program/subscription enrolled in
  • Reason for the refund request

We will review and respond to refund requests within 7–14 business days.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our program or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
